In a bid to create a talent pool of industry-ready workforce, Adani Group recently announced its plans to invest a whopping amount in India’s skill development initiatives in collaboration with ITE Education Services (ITEES) from Singapore. To address the country’s growing need for a highly skilled labour force, the Adani family will donate more than Rs 2,000 crore to establish internationally benchmarked schools of excellence.

The recent initiative is a part of the Rs 10,000 crore social donation recently announced by the Adani Group.

Addressing the Skill Gap with INR 2,000 Crore Investment

The Adani family will donate ₹2000 crore to develop the Adani Global Skills Academy in collaboration with ITEES from Singapore. This state-of-the-art facility will blend AI-driven immersive learning with cutting-edge innovation centres, and annually train more than 25,000 learners to help accelerate the ‘Make in India’ movement,” the billionaire industrialist noted.

In the initial phase, the program will prioritize establishing the world’s largest finishing school for technical training in Mundra, Gujarat, aiming to train the learners for a wide range of industry and service roles. The learners would be fresh graduates and diploma holders with vocational and technical qualifications from ITIs or Polytechnics and would be selected for an intensive boot camp experience within the schools.

Adani To Build a Skilled Talent Pipeline

The collaboration with ITEES, a global leader in vocational education, improves the quality of training provided by the academy. Together, both companies will deploy international best practices in skill development, ensuring that the academy produces graduates who meet the evolving needs of the job market. Through this initiative, the group aimed to build a skilled talent pipeline for serving industries across the spectrum, including green energy, manufacturing, hi-tech, project excellence and industrial design.

Empowering India’s Youth

Adani’s initiative focuses on empowering India’s youth, particularly those from underserved regions, by making quality training programs accessible to them. Each of these finishing schools- Adani Global Skills Academy, will shortlist the most eligible students from technical and vocational education backgrounds in India aligned to their industry and role.

Through the establishment of skill development centres across India, particularly in regions with high unemployment rates, Adani is fostering inclusive growth. Post obtaining a certification in the chosen field of study, the learners will be appointed by the Adani Group and across the broader industry, depending on their role and field of training.  This strategic move will allow talented people to acquire new skills that make them employable.

Building a Future-Ready Workforce

The Adani Global Skills Academy will be the largest of its kind in the world and provide a unique learning experience, with innovation centres and AI-based simulators backed with mixed reality-based learning.  Through this meaningful partnership, ITEES aims to enhance skill development and create a lasting impact by transforming education and lives,

The Adani Group’s ₹2000 crore skill development initiative can transform the fate of India’s workforce. The group through this initiative not only addresses the pressing issue of skill gaps but also creates long-term job opportunities for India’s youth. Through strategic partnerships and a focus on emerging industries, Adani is helping build a future-ready workforce that will drive India’s growth in the coming decades.
